Set up your workspace

Right after you create your account, a short wizard walks you through naming your organization, creating a first project, inviting your team, and choosing what WorkMonitor is allowed to capture.

Right after you create your account, a short wizard walks you through naming your organization, creating a first project, inviting your team, and choosing what WorkMonitor is allowed to capture.

Who this is for

The organization’s Owner — this wizard opens automatically once you finish creating your account, on the workspace you just created. Nobody else is routed through it.

Steps

  1. On Name your organisation, confirm or change the Organisation name, then select Continue.

  2. On Set up your first project, enter a First project name, pick a Team size, and choose a Data region. The wizard presents the region as permanent, so pick deliberately. Select Continue.

  3. On Invite the people you work with, add teammates by email and select Add for each one, or select Skip this step → to do this later. The Send the consent request with each invite toggle only changes the wording shown on this screen — it doesn’t change what’s actually sent when you invite someone. Select Continue.

  4. On Choose how much WorkMonitor sees, drag the slider to set your organization’s default capture level — Off, Presence, Captures, or Realtime — and review what each level shows in the panel underneath. Select Continue.

  5. On Review, then publish to everyone, check the summary, select each Edit link to change anything, tick the acknowledgement that the policy is visible to every member, then select Publish & go live.

What happens next

Each step already saved as you selected Continue — your organization’s name, project, invites, and capture policy are all in place by the time you reach Publish & go live. That button doesn’t save anything new; it takes you straight to a success screen announcing your organization is live, where you can select Open the dashboard →/Go to dashboard or Invite more people →.

A couple of things worth knowing:

  • If you leave the first project’s name as it starts, WorkMonitor creates a real project using that default name — rename or remove it later from Projects if you don’t want it.

  • Team size only tailors the setup screens for you; it isn’t shown to anyone and isn’t a setting you’ll find elsewhere later.

If it doesn’t work

  • If a step fails to save, you’ll see a “That didn’t save” toast with the server’s message, or “Please try again.”

  • If only the data-region update fails, the wizard still moves you forward and shows “Couldn’t update the data region” — you can set it later in Settings.

  • If you land on this page without being signed in, you’re sent to sign in first.
